DANILO BATTISTELLI
A R C H I T E T T O
Description:
The Tempera project proposes an identity-driven reconstruction that merges the recovery of the historic center with new residential clusters. The intervention focuses on social cohesion through organic building groupings arranged around green courtyards and pedestrian paths.
The architecture stands out for its refined and elegant timber volumes, featuring vertical slats and large glass surfaces open to the mountain landscape. In terms of urban planning, the layout clearly separates public and private greenery, relocating cars to perimeter parking lots. The result is a sustainable living model that transforms the memory of the earthquake into a modern system of hospitality and residence.
Location: Tempera, L'Aquila (Italy)
Status: Thesis (Bachelor Degree Architecture)
Year: 2011.
